ABOUT US - PsyPneumatix Records
PsyPneumatix Records, Australia, is owned and run by Joel de Ross (Syzmix) and Dylan Griffin (Fresh).
The brainchild of Joel, PsyPneumatix was born in 2002 as a party crew in Melbourne, Australia, and its main aim was to support local artists and djs.
In particular PP has been used to help push Aussie producing talent out there and onto the dancefloors, supporting Joels projects Syzmix, Bionic Empire and Bufferzone.
In the summer of 2003, Joel met Dylan and with both having similar ideas, ambition and inspiration decided to take PsyPneumatix to a national level with events and music. Dylan quickly became established on the north coast (the infamous byron bay area) with high quality and large scale events. While Joel was sick for almost a year, Dylan kept the momentum going with more and more events in the hot and sticky north.
PP released an Aus/NZ only CD compilation 'Sound Travel' as a tester, with only Melbourne producers. The release sold out very quickly and with a great response so PP decided to launch as a fully fledged international psy-trance record label.
By now Joels projects were getting more and more attention, and in January 2006 Fresh (now also PP head DJ) compiled and released the first world wide complilation 'Future Shock'.
Future direction for PP: Joel, Dylan and Jon Kenobi (now onboard from the UK) and the rest of the crew are working hard with future compilations and artists albums, which are on the way. While always looking for something different, the main idea and focus is on psychedelic music for the dancefloor, and always trying to push australian talent out there and help unearth new and already established electronic artist from all over the world.

Bionic Empire - Australia
Bionic Empire are Keean Mallon, Alex Abrahams and Joel Deross aka Syzmix - founder of PsyPneumatix Records.
The sound began with the full on morning style of Syzmix, soon the sound evolved and merged with Keeans style of ultra funky bass lines, leads, break downs and fills. About a year later the 2 man Bionic Empire team met up with Alex.
Alex was a deep prog and psygressive DJ who also played the guitar. After a few jam sessions, Alex's guitar and psygressive influence quickly adapted to the Bionic Empire sound. After a short time Bionic Empire became a unique blend of funk, full on, psygressive.
With the efforts of the Psypneumatix DJ's in London, France, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and Australia, Bionic Empire's tracks are ripping dance floors apart across the globe almost every weekend and are helping to
generate a lot of interest in the Australian sound from overseas party people.
Currently concentrating on the debut album BIONIC EMPIRE are already stirring up alot of interest across the globe.
Decibel - Australia
Decibel
Starting out in the hills of Mullumbimby, treated to the sounds of the forest parties and DJ’ing locally, Decibel (Mat Cristiano) moved to Melbourne 6 years ago where he began writing his own brand of Australian Psytrance.
After meeting Syzmix and creating BufferZone, production and style has been developing quickly.
With funky, quirky melodies, the sound is largely full on but also progressive at times. Tracks have been tried and tested by PsyPneumatix DJ’s across the globe with dancefloor positive results.
At the moment focus has been working in the studio on the Decibel album and also with Syzmix on the more Bufferzone releases. Stay attuned, more tracks to come on the forthcoming HYPERSENSES & ABOUT TIME compilations.

Psyboriginal - Australia
"How Long Was I Asleep?" Psyboriginal is 26 year old Marc Freund from Sydney, Australia. A recent addition to the Ketuh family, he has been producing his own music for the past two years, as well as djing for the past four years. He got his first taste of trance while performing as a fire spinner with the group Fire Art Fanatics based out of Sydney, was instantaneously addicted, and has never looked back.....
"Something's Coming....I Wonder What..." Since 2004, his live sets have focused on spawning an environment conducive for explosive, energetic, and sometimes unpredictable trancefloor reverberations. The Psybo-sound depicts that indescribable moment between night and day- ethereal and uplifting to bring in the morning, yet mysterious and menacing enough to wreck nocturnal havoc. Marc's versitility as an artist is further evident in the incorporation of guitar and vocals in a few of his tracks. The Psyboriginal sound is one that is constantly changing and evolving; during his time in Belgium in 2004, Marc became decidely influenced by morning psytrance. However, upon returning to his native Australia, things took a trip to the dark(er) side, as his music adapted both a harder, more sinister edge as well as greatly increasing in overall doofability. The present end result- a unique style that weaves together all the right elements, fabricating a perfect groove guaranteed to ignite any legion of doofers with positive vibes.
"Relax....and Enjoy It" His influences include Max of Sundance Records, Dave Daheen, and Scatterbrain as well as pioneers of psytrance such as Cosma, and earlier Talamasca and Infected Mushroom. In the past he has worked alongside fellow Aussie producers Fractal Glider and Legohead as well as a future collaborative release with Illusion of Self. Psyboriginal has kicked up dust on dancefloors all over Australia as well as in Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Slovakia, and Hungary. Look for Psyboriginals forthcoming album 'Unleashed' on PsyPneumatix Records in 2008.

ITP - Israel
Erez Yaffe & Sami Sabin from Holon, both born in 1980, first met 20 years ago in the 1st grade. At Samothraki 2003, the two met again to form ITP (Individual Thought Patterns), a group aiming to give the world their own individual concept of what Psy-Trance should be like.
Each with a background of over 13 years of guitar playing, Sami & Erez took up synthesis and composition studies and started to form their concept.
ITP is influenced by a variety of musical patterns, undefined by style or genre.Some of the artists they like are: Squarepusher, Bach, Spiral Architecht, John Mc'laughlin and Shakti, Shpongle, King Crimson, Death, Gentle Giant, Mozart, Gordian Knot, Hallucinogen and many more.
Since 2005 they have been playing their music all around Israel and their 1st release "ITP - Strange Attracktors" has just come out on SunDance Records.

Getafix - Pakistan
Getafix; a psytrance artist hailing from the northern regions of an unknown South-East Asian Country. Legend has it, Getafix was found by nomads, wandering the foothills of the Hindu Kush in an acid induced state of euphoria, preceeded by a cloud of hash smoke. Nomads he proceeded to entertain with his melodic, Psy-style...Which of course, as everyone knows, leads to bookings at psytrance festivals in Switzerland (where else can you go from the Hindukush?) Currently, he is trying to improve his sound and get his album released at some point in the future, so that YOU too can share in the mindboggling orgasmic sonic thrusts of Getafix!

Ultrafly - Mexico
A young and fresh project born in San Luis, Mexico in the middle of the magical peyote desert. Cooked together by DJ Taima & DJ Luna, both experimented DJs and musicians. After working together for two years in the studio they finally present their smashing live act which in a short time has gained great respect and after only a few months had played along with the biggest names in the trance scene, including artists such as Bizarre Contact, Eskimo, Perplex, Sharigrama and many others.

LAV -Serbia
Lav Jerzabek is born on 01.03.1979 in Belgrade, Serbia. When he was 20 years old he had a first encounter with Psy Trance music. Since then he quickly became big fan of that sound. As time pased he slowly developed aspiration for producing music and live acting. First experience in production he gained in 2003 and slowly after that he begins to develop own style.
His biggest influence was producers like: Astrix, Dino Psaras ,Psydrop,GMS,Shanty…. Along with producing he started his live acts and promoted himself in Serbia. In 2005 he was lead organizer in project Cubed People which is artist organization, gathered a group of friends who produce and share knowledge.Since then experience started to grow.

FRESH - DJ and co-manager
DJ Fresh (Dylan Griffin) represents a new wave of fresh sounds in the world of psychedelic trance on the East Coast of Australia and now resides in Brisbane.
Label DJ and promoter and co- owner/ manager for PsyPneumatix Records.
Originating in Melbourne, he moved to Byron Bay and regularly plays at parties all around the North Coast and QLD but more frequently interstate, playing large scale parties in Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney.
He is one of australias youngest dj talents and is already well established. Played alongside some of australias best djs and acts aswell as internationals such as: Skazi, Triptych, PsyCraft, Space Tribe, DJ Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Eskimo, Sun Control Species, Rinkadink, Pop Stream, Visual Paradox, Fractal Glider to name only a few. He has present, past and future booking accross the east coast of Australia and afar. Recently featured in 3D World magazine.
More recently Dylan has just finished compiling a full length v/a for PsyPneumatix Records entitled "Future Shock", full of world class fresh full on from around Australia. His DJ style is very time and place orientated.

Jon Kenobi - United Kingdom
Jon Kenobi first caught the psychedelic trance bug while searching for a sound that went that little bit further than the usual run of the mill trance/techno. Having discovered artists such as MWNN and Astral Projection through the mainstream record stores Jon delved deep into the realms of the psy world taking on board the likes of Hallucinogen, Cosmosis, Prana and Green Nuns of the Revolution. From there the collection gradually grew and grew and a greater interest in finding the parties grew with it.
However, come 2001 it was evident that the Midlands psy scene in the UK had somewhat diminshed so it was at this point that Jon decided to don the headphones and hook up with like minded individuals in the area. This occurred in the shape of the West Midlands 'Stereo Chemistry' crew. Since getting involved with crew Jon was a resident DJ with them and along with party founder CosmoNaughty helped to promote and establish the Stereo Chemistry parties in the Midlands, before the crew decided to part company in 2006 to persue other projects. Jon has also secured a residency with long time established UK party promoters MessMedia.
Jon has been fortunate enough to play for most of the party promoters in the UK and has played alongside acts such as Cosmosis, System 7, Logic Bomb, Tristan, Shakta, Banco De Gaia, Aphid Moon, Man With No Name, Sirius Isness, Laughing Buddha, Astralasia, Prometheous, EVP BeatNik, Error Corrective and OOOD to name a few.
In his DJ sets Jon can be found playing chunky and groovy, crunchy and bouncy full on psytrance...music to make you wiggle and giggle :op

Dark White - Australia
Dark White is known for captivating dance floors, with her high energy performances at festivals, indoor venues and bush gatherings all over Melbourne, Victoria evolving her style to the lush, groovy, pumping sound waves we have heard recently at Trance For Nations, alongside BrainBokka and also Royal Doof 4.
Starting out with OM-Tribe in Melbourne, Australia, she has contributed extensively to the Victorian Psy Trance community for the last 2 years as an Artist/Promoter/Organizer/Photographer.
She currently resides in Melbourne, where she is working on producing her first album with PsyPneumatix Records.

Astronom - Germany
DJ Astronom is Jens Seibel from Marburg in the middle of Germany. A fulltime Trancehead involved with a lot of passion for everything concerning psychedelic music. He started DJ-ing in 1999 and earned a lot of respect and reputation at various gigs. So far he played at many german parties and in other countries such as Switzerland (Biocosma - Festival), Morocco, Austria (Feuertanz - Festival), Hungary, Sweden (Det Mystika Halet i Marken - Festival II), Netherlands, Germany (Antaris - Festival)... and there are for sure more to come. Jens loves to play fresh and powerfull night music as well as intelligent morning music with soul... far away from mainstream-sound that is played at many parties. He can play right music at every time through a party and he is always full of positive surprises... based on good and long mixes... Jens joined the australian label Psypneumatix-Records and is representing the new upcoming label Rudraksh-Records based in Germany and India... Jens is also involved in making beautiful parties with his projects 'Der kleine Kreis' and the past project 'Dimensionssprung'. His newest baby is 'Rebirth of Cassiopeia Festival' which took place on June 16-18th 2006 in the middle of Germany. The artists are always combined of established artists and interesting, promising newcomers. Kemix - Japan
Kemix grew up in Melbourne, Australia. He first got into Goa Trance music in 1995, going to underground warehouse and outdoor parties where he became a fan of psychedelic artists like Cosmosis and Tsuyoshi Suzuki. Very soon after he joined party crew Aparat and produced a series of underground warehouse parties in the Melbourne inner city suburb of Richmond.
In 1998, he moved to Tokyo and tuned into the energy of the trance scene there. Started DJing in 1999 and started the Psy16 party crew in 2003. He is a regular DJ on the Japan club and outdoor circuit and has played many festivals around the world. Joined Sanskara Records as a label DJ in 2006.
His style is psychedelic full power. His sets ignite the dancefloor and sends you flying to the sky. Hard driving aggressive basslines mixed with uplifting melodies, he builds his sets like an escalator to the stars. If you’re after a good trance dance and music to set your spirit free then Kemix is for you!
Janux - India
Jehan - (Sound Species), spent the first five years of his life bouncing between India and Denmark. In 1985 his parents brought him to Goa when he was 7 years old, he’s been in Goa almost every season since then. That was 1985. The parties were still not psy, and when the trance parties started he was already there. In school he played the saxophone and was in a jazz percussion ensemble in NY, and every winter partying in Goa. He started using CDJs in 2001, and has played in NYC, Amsterdam, Bombay, and Goa.
Janux plays dance oriented mystical full on sounds geared for the morning. Being involved in trance since the first ever party, he can play a wide range of psy depending on the location and feel of the gathering. Jehan likes to play everything from a hi energy psychedelic set, to soul searching bass power, and even slightly twisted at night as long as the music moves forward. Using long mixing combined with explosive transitions, his style will keep the dance floor guessing and flying at the same time.

DJ Psyma - India
DJ Psyma aka Chinx has been spinning at psy trance parties for six years all over India, especially Northern India. New Delhi and Chandigarh are his base for trance parties. He has made parties in different regions including the Himalayas where dj's and artists die to play at parties, places like Kasol, Challal (Parvati Valley), Old Manali and Solang Valley. His parties has always the best location. You cant get any better vibes, be it the beautiful valleys in Kasol, huge hill tops in Manali or river side in Rishikesh (along the Ganges). He has played marathon sets all over for the best gathering from different parts of the world.
Red Eco - Australia
Red Eco has been creating music for almost a decade, starting on the guitar before moving to electronic music production. These days his focus is of the trance kind, both full-on and progressive. As a DJ, Red Eco knows how to move a party. Powerful melodic psy is his weapon of choice and his impeccable track selection is supported by flawless technical skills.
Red Eco's favourite artists include Sub 6, Atomic Pulse, Psysex, Panick, Wrecked Machines and Son Kite. He has played alongside Protoculture, Syzmix and Sun Control Species, amongst others. He has appeared for crews including Awkward Influence, Infinite Productions and, of course, Psypneumatix.
